Cast Breakdown:

 

Stacie (17): She is the main protagonist, and ordinary girl. She is an introverted and depressed individual. Actress must be able to cry on set.

Bobby (17): A protagonist, who turns hero. He is the popular kid in school, especially with the ladies (though he doesn’t encourage it).

Gabe (17): One of the heros of the story. He is the Christian, who is a light in his school as he steps out to help his friends.

Victoria (17): The main antagonist. She is the girly girl cheerleader type, who never got over the face that Bobby never was interested in her.

Shaun (17): Another antagonist. He is the life of the party, full of energy and is never really serious. He is also captain of the football team, and is very athletic.

Jimmy (17): Another antagonist. He is the wannabe of the group. In trying to be cool, he avoids being his real self. He is pretty much Shaun’s shadow.

Megan (17): Another antagonist. She is the Tomboy of the group.

Amy (17): She is the one stuck in the middle. She is unsure weather to believe her friend, Stacie, or the entire school.

The movie will be filming throughout the city of San Diego during late May to mid June and will need over a thousand extras & real tennis players of all skill levels to participate.

Shooting Format: HD

Pay Rate: Meals, Copy, IMDB & Screen Credits. There will also be free Smash! T-Shirts, Tennis Balls & Mugs for everyone. Some days will also have a raffle with an iPod as the prize!

Role Types:

Everyday People – Ages 1 – 99 / Any Race / Any Gender – To play different people in crowds at public & private settings such as a tennis match, the mall, the beach, etc.

Real Tennis Players – Ages 8 – 18 / Any Race / Any Gender – To act as tennis players at tennis courts. Must have your own tennis/athletic clothing and racquet. All skill levels from beginner to professional are welcome but you must know how to play the game and have played or have practiced before.  

Handpicked Speaking & Featured Roles will be selected on the day of the shoot when you arrive. You MUST come to the set to have a chance to be picked for one of these roles. If you are given a role your role will have a name!

Storyline:  Ally “Smash!” Mash is 16 years old and the #1 Junior Tennis player in America. She’s on the cover of Teen Cosmo, but she’s never looked in a mirror except to practice her top-spin.  Everybody’s counting on her to win, but she’s never gotten to be a regular teenager.   

 When Ally injures herself and loses her first match in eight years she finally gets a chance to spend time with her friends, have some fun and learn how to be a girl. In that process Ally becomes and even better player, one with heart, and finds the perfect guy.

Description: Funeral Boys is a coming of age/ dark comedy about 3 catholic school boys that serve funerals in order to cut class. Their desperate desire to mature and rebel puts them in funny, and more often dangerous situations. Filming will take this place in Rhode Island this August.

Casting Teen Boys (Roles) – Open call for boys 13-15 years old 

 

ROLE BREAKDOWN:

 Charlie- 13 years old. Bright. Loyal. Sharp tongued. A kid that never minds saying exactly what his mind. His sometimes abrasive personality only masks his insecurities.

David- 13 years old. After moving from California, where he starred in an independent film, David is anything but your typical child star. He’s sweet and reluctant to break the rules. He’s also missed out on the rebellious side of growing up.

 

Felix – 13 years old. When he’s not tagging along with his older brother, he’s telling vulgar stories and dirty jokes that most kids his age wouldn’t even get.

 

Lindsey – 15 years old. She’s always been in the shadow of her beautiful older sister, but she can still break hearts. She’s sweet and a bit insecure, so she hasn’t quite gotten used to all the boys paying attention to her.
