I am a photographer in the San Diego Area. I have shot extensively for photojournalism, stock, and scenic photography, but I’d like to start building some experience and a portfolio for portrait photography as well. So, I’d like to offer some select people in the San Diego area and San Diego County–or who are willing to travel to the San Diego area–a free photo shoot. We are looking for male and female characters, entertainers, or models who are seeking to build a portfolio, but who do not have a lot of money to pay to have it done professionally. We do have some experience in the modeling and acting fields, so we are familiar with the criteria for this kind of photography.

We could meet somewhere in the San Diego area, and spend at least 4 hours doing a photo shoot. I would be accompanied by my second photographer, and she would also be shooting during the session. Each photo would be a high-resolution digital photo capable of being used for prints up to 16×20. Over the course of a 4-hour session, we would probably shoot several hundred photos, and you’d have all the originals–both good and bad–to choose pictures from to add or start your own portfolio. If you’d like to do a photo shoot with another person, such as an engagement-style photo shoot, or a family that would be OK, too.

We would also consider shooting events, such as weddings, banquets, dinners, business parties, gallery openings, trade shows, as well.

Because we are seeking to expand our experience and portfolio in this field of photography, we are offering this to you for free. All it will cost you, if you are selected, is your time. In return, you’ll get a bunch of free photos on DVD.

The Haunt at Sunrise Farm is looking for actors, make-up artists and tour guides to perform in tour guide led, live-performance haunted hayride and haunted barns. If you love Halloween and want to learn how to scare patrons, this might be just for you!!! Great opportunity to learn how to perform in horror — chiller — thriller type atmosphere along with special effects such as blacklight and 3-D and the haunted house industry which is huge.

All of our cast members are Volunteers; however, we do offer bonuses at the end of the season if Volunteers meet certain criteria which is standard in the Haunted House industry.

We allow our actors to improvise and you can bring your own unlicensed character costume (which must be approved) or use one of ours. We have plenty of masks, costumes, etc. for you to choose from. You do not have to have experience but should be able to scream. The best experience for those looking for more experience than a minute scare is tour guiding but you must be able to improvise from a storyline that will last approximately 45 minutes as well as interact with the patrons while doing it. Remember that you will be doing the same scene for at least 4 hours.

Prefer drama students or adults just starting out or those that just love to scare people! Will accept teenagers 16+ but it is not appropriate for younger children unless they have a family member that is working in the haunt as well.

Thursday @ 6pm is our last rehearsal. We open at 7:45 on Friday, October 2 and will be open weekend evenings throughout Oct. Fri & Sat: 7:45 – 11:00 pm; Sun: 7:30 – 10:00pm. We are flexible.
